According to ancient peoples, and even to many today, various gemstones have special meaning and are used
to attract things such as love, money, health, and even luck. Here are a few examples.
Love Gems include: emeralds, hematite, jade, turquoise, moonstones, and, of course, diamonds.
Money Gems include: citrine, garnet, malachite, aventurine, saphire, and jade. Hmmm, I guess if you
want love and money you should have some jade.
Healing stones include: agate (stomach upsets), amethyst (headaches, breathing), ametrine (depression),
and bloodstone (blood and energy circulation).
Lucky stones include: amazonite, tiger's eye, and garnet.
Many stones are said to have more than one purpose. For example citrine is said to be a luck stone,
a money stone and a protection stone. And moonstone is supposed to be a luck, power, healing and love stone.
Frankly, I have no idea whether or not this is all true but it's fun to design jewelry using stones and gems
that are said to do positive things for their wearer. And who knows what benefits we may derive from these ancient beliefs?
